When remortgaging my home I discovered that the solicitor who supported my original purchase added a fraud restriction to the property title. The lender provided free conveyancing but the company that they engaged to help me were unable to support me with the fraud restriction. I contacted ~10 solicitors, 8 declined to help, one said they’d take over the conveyancing, in order to satisfy their liability threshold (this was costly and because they wanted to do everything from scratch would have meant that we couldn’t complete before my existing deal expired). I then spoke to Lex Sterling who were able to help me and made things incredibly simple (a short letter and 15/20 mins was all it took). Massive thanks to Simran and Ashleigh for the incredible service at a very reasonable price.
Would definitely recommend their services to anyone in the local area.

Lex Sterling are non communicative. I have been chasing them for two weeks for an answer to a simple request. Every day I am told someone will return my call, and every day they disappoint. They lack professionalism and integrity and I would never recommend them to anyone as the stress and difficult position they have left me in is unacceptable.

Worst Conveyancing solicitors you can find. Suk being the main offender here. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place at all costs. Professionalism is awful from the solicitors down to the receptionist. Completely faffed our house sale and we’re still suffering the consequences years later.

Maybe if you have a completely straight forward purchase/sale then you can take a risk and use these cowboys on the cheap. But if you have anything that’s adds any complications - e.g. shared ownership, lease extension, chain sell - then you’ll be doing all the work yourself and be left wondering what you’re even paying for. I had to do so much work myself over the past 2 years that I could probably pass the bar exam now. And yes you read that correctly, it’s been two years since the start of this process and it’s still ongoing.

I’d rather play Russian roulette with two loaded bullets than hire anyone from this company again. I’ve made complaints to the legal ombudsman but they’re just as useless so again, not worth the time and effort and avoid at all costs.

Whilst it was easy to get an appointment and some documents witnessed, the solicitor also agreed to scan a further legal agreement for me, but then completely ignored my emails and didn't return my telephone calls. Was this because I had already paid up front? Who knows? My wife and I wanted to update are Wills too, but I won't be using Lex Sterling again. Avoid!
