Very poor! Avoid at all costs.
Atrocious communications, ridiculously high staff turnover, and "nobody in the office today" all contributed to one of the most protracted Will settlements I ever heard of - nearly 4 years!
If you like to pay for a series of inexperienced juniors, frequently ill or pregnant, or stretched over two locations solicitors to 'revue the work done by the previous', five times in this instance, then go ahead. For us, it was a big mistake. I recommend Adlams.

Appalling experience, was quoted a figure for a property transfer and the final bill was 3 times what was agreed. They aggressively invoice you for work you didn’t agree to and I was charged £500 for a phone call questing my bill! If they know you are up against it they think nothing of extorting you and they gave me bad advice which put my mortgage at jeopardy. Don’t use them, I went to Adlams in the end and everything went very smoothly and costs were as quoted. Their response below is a lie, they took my money to transfer a property into my name and didn’t think to say I’d need a separate solicitor they just took the money and kept charging for work they hadn’t done,completely incompetent.

After nearly four years of fighting a very difficult convoluted case, our solicitor Hafiaz managed to bring it all to a very positive conclusion.He never lost his professionalism and dedication although maybe at times found himself pushed too hard with an overload of cases. My case took determination, hard work, a sense of humour and patience from us all and I couldn’t have chosen a better solicitor who possesses all those qualities.
I would like to say a big thank you to him and all his hard working team involved with my case, you all went above and beyond.

I have used Leeds Day previously for conveyance work and found them slow but they got the job done. I thought I'd try them again for a conveyance quote, but I had to chase them for the figures. In addition they use an 08445 number which went to a different branch 2nd time and it took a while to get to where I needed to go. Just got my mobile phone bill and discovered 08445 numbers are charged!!! I can't be doing with the hassle.
Hunt & Coombs returned figures within the hour and gave me a much more professional feeling over the phone. Email communications were great too. Just my opinion.
