Excellent venue for a civil wedding ceremony. I have photographed weddings here a number of times and love the decor of the ceremony room as well as how ideal the pretty garden is for photos afterwards.
The staff have always been very friendly as well

Myself and Claire got married here 20/7/24. We had an absolutely wonderful experience. The staff were all completely wonderful. Paul and Alison between them took care of most of our nerves before the ceremony!

Amazing register office! If you are looking for a nice place to get married it's worth a visit. I am a wedding photographer and I really enjoy working in this register office. I would firstly mention the interior of the ceremony room. Its amazingly kept in a really good condition, very well-lighted and the decoration is really nice. There is just enough space for 6 guest (current number due to COVID).
Staff working at this venue is also super amazing. They were always very friendly, helpful and welcoming.
After your ceremony it's definitely recommended to use the conservatory to take few intimate couple shots.
The garden of the venue is fairly large with many opportunities to take many photos. Use the arches to take walking shots, get few closeups while sitting on the benches or stand in front of the back entrance for group photos.
After using the garden go around the Register office and walk around in Mansion Gardens along the River Mole.

It was relatively easy to book an appointment to register a birth here.

The building is really something to behold. Original post dating back to 16th century, with later extensions.

Staff were very friendly and made sure the required with was done to a great standard.

Parking, to get the relevant registration done, could be done in the local car park.

Went to register my dad's death and thry could have been lovelier. Beautiful building, really friendly, helpful staff, and disabled parking available. The staff dealt with us sympathetically and with great dignity.

2 registrars, Karen and Jacqueline, conducted our wedding for us at our venue, and we could not have wished for two nicer, friendlier, helpful registrars. The way that they conducted the interview beforehand and the ceremony itself was fantastic - they made it feel so very special and personal, as if ours was the only wedding in the whole world! My husband and I cannot thank them enough for their part in making it such a wonderful day.
