We originally found Lains Barn via the website Hitched. We spoke to the owner Martin and arranged a viewing, and let's just say we were blown away. Martin was lovely and gave us a detailed tour of the venue and left us to have a look around on our own. We made our decision very quickly after that first visit, we couldn't imagine picking anywhere else. Unlike many other venues, the barn comes fully loaded with things other places charge a small fortune for, items such as fresh greenery/foliage, lighting, cake board and much more. We got married in November, so the dark rich tones of the barn suited us absolutely perfectly. One thing I can say for certain is that if you are wondering if the food was any good, it was incredible, almost every single one of our guests said how much they enjoyed it, we went for the sharing BBQ menu and pizza in the evening, the quality of the food was outstanding. A final mention is for how well organised the whole process was, we honestly did not have any stress at all, this was massively helped by Rachel and Katy, so a big thankyou to both of you guys.

Cannot recommend Lains Barn enough. We had our wedding here in October and it truly was one of the happiest days of our lives so far. Martin showed us around last October, and since then everything has been plain sailing. Rachel answered every email so promptly and was always happy to answer our many questions. The day before our wedding, we met Katy the wedding planner, and I cannot sing her praises enough. We felt so at ease with her and that we could trust her with the whole day. She was calm, patient and just lovely. The day itself was perfect, the sun shone, everything ran without a hiccup and the food was incredible. Everyone said what a great venue it was and complimented us greatly on the day. There were a few pointers from previous reviews I’d been a little concerned about… the temperature of the barn and feeling herded. I really needn’t have given the comments a second thought. The whole venue was a great temperature and didn’t feel herded once. The staff are so slick at the turn arounds you do not notice them happening. We are so so pleased we chose Lains. And finally the pack down was made so easy for us. Such amazing staff. You are all so good at what you do. Thank you to everyone! Rachel & Jack

Lains Barn was the most perfect venue for our wedding in March this year. Right from the first time we visited the venue we knew it was a special place, Martin took so much care and attention in showing us around and talking us through everything they offer. We were particularly attracted to the multiple spaces, including the stunning main barn (which comes already decorated!) and two more covered areas, perfect should the British weather not play ball. We also loved that Lains is a family run business and included 5* catering so we didn't have to deal with lots of suppliers.

In the run up to our wedding, the team at Lains (especially Rachel) were extremely supportive, helping guide us through the decisions we needed to make and responsive to all our questions. We had several guests with food allergies and Rachel put them completely at ease.

On the wedding day itself, the team continued to excel - Nigel and Katy in particular was so friendly to all our guests and helped the day run smoothly - including changing over decorations and accommodating our slightly late start to the food service! They were complete professionals.

We couldn't have had a better wedding, it was just perfect! 10/10!

We knew immediately after viewing Lains Barn that it was the venue for us. The venue itself is stunning, but the family running it behind the scenes were also a huge selling point. The team, particularly Martin, Rachel and Katy were fantastic at answering our questions and supporting in planning our day. The day itself went seamlessly - I was so shocked at how much we didn’t have to worry or think about anything! Katy ensured we only needed to enjoy our day and not worry about anything. Many of our suppliers were familiar with Lains Barn too which made preparations nice and easy. Ann Laing who is a recommended florist was amazing too. Thank you to the team for creating our dream wedding! We will never forget it.

Fantastic wedding venue! We had our wedding here in November and it was the perfect day. Martin and Rachel were communicative and friendly in the planning for the day and everything was straightforward. On the day we had a fantastic wedding coordinator Katy who ran the day flawlessly. The food was incredible - we chose the pie menu and we had multiple people say to us it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. We also chose to stay at Barton house down the road and it made the weekend. It is a beautiful house! Barbara and Martin were so kind and accommodating to us and our family. Could not be more grateful to the Lains team for such a brilliant day and would highly recommend to others as a wedding venue.

We booked Lains Barn for our wedding on the 31st March 2023 and I can honestly say it was the best decision we have ever made.
From our first visit to the barn, through the whole run up to the wedding, the team were incredible. Nothing was too much trouble for them - from finding us a new date when we needed to pull the wedding forward six months, accommodating our request for a South African braai menu and for helping us navigate the torrential rain on the day. They really were brilliant.

We fell in love with the barn at first sight and everything about our wedding day just reinforced what a lovely venue it is and what a great family runs it. Thank you for making our day so special!

What an incredible venue. Had our wedding here in late October. The Lains team were fabulous, attentive and supportive. We took a gamble not tasting the food, don’t worry, it was delicious with plenty to go around. Nothing to fault here. Absolute confidence

What an amazing day! We booked Lains Barn before Covid and like many others our wedding plans were significantly disrupted. Amongst all of the stress of the changes in restrictions communicating and rearranging with Lains Barn was far the easiest of all. We were always given options and they could not have been more accommodating. At one point, Martin ( the owner) even offered for us to get married at his house at Barton House! The events manager, Rachel, was always on hand to respond to emails morning and night and made the process so easy.

The venue itself was beautiful and they allowed for full flexibility in making the day as personal as we wanted it to be. The food and drink was exceptional and this was commented on by all of the guests. The service we had throughout the day was incredible and we couldn’t fault any of our experience from start to finish.

We feel very fortunate to have picked Lains Barn as our venue particularly during such a challenging time and we would recommend it to anyone.
