Started off with a decent guy at interview… turned out he didn’t actually work for JD. Instructed them for plea hearing.. they didnt turn up… dialed in on video 4 hour’s later no clue about me or my case. Got a face to face meeting with the guy who seemed decent so went with it.

Been in a few trails. These guys are jokers, was fobbed off for 7 months with your trial solicitor hasn’t been alocated you’ll get a face to face or call nearer the time. Put 5 emails and 13 phone called in in the 3 weeks before trial, didnt get a call back. Was told Mr Ali would be representing me… some completely different guy who was also a contractor turned up completely unprepared for trial.. didn’t have the crucial video evidence id sent to JD twice already.

I was completely innocent of what I was charged with, the incompetence and arrogance of these idiots made me feel at risk massively. I was lucky in that the complaints didn’t show up… the guy who showed up at trial agreed that if they had he would have to seek an adjournment for retrial based on him being unprepared.

I’ve seen some of the nonchalant responses to reviews by JD on here… id assume they may come back at this one with me having had section 31 funding… so i’ll add this.. i earn more than most solicitors at JD, have means and run two businesses, i chose not to spend my own money as I was innocent, had made clear to them that if it meant a different standard of service I would pay.

Using these guys is like going to a AID’s singles mixer wihtout a packet of Durex. They are arrogant, unprofessional, uncaring and should not be in the business they are. I have no axes to grind as I was an innocent man but my god, if you find yourself with a legal charge avoid these cowboys.

Brilliant firm! Every solicitor I have so far had the pleasure of dealing with has been extremely helpful, kind and put me at ease.
