Difficult to review a scrap metal merchants really. You drive up, you get weighed, you get told which to dump your metal into and then get weighed again. A trailer full of galvanised steel piping from old climbing frames and trampolines was deposited for the princely sum of………….£6.00

It’s not about the monetary gain though, I am happy recycling it the correct way like this, and know that it does actually go back towards something useful eventually

You need an account, and the office staff will help you with that, just take along proof of residence and address like driving licence. Worth knowing that a hot water cylinder can be recycled for £40 ish, ferrous is obviously a good deal cheaper.

Be aware that there is a tools down period from half twelve to one o’clock so if you arrive during that time you will just have to wait.

Great friendly service, good lads in the yard, helped me unload my van and helped separate all the different metals. Girls in the office polite and helpful. Super clean yard never seen a scrap yard so clean and tidy credit to the owner! Prices are very competitive payments prompt, will use every time.

The drive way and unloading point are both clean and debris free (not all yards can say that) staff are super friendly, wish I had the name of the chap that help me unload. Payment was prompt, can’t comment on if prices were good but they have been there forever so must be competitive.

Friendly people. Really helpful. Decent setup.
More than 50 quid paid into my bank the same day, for just the scrap metal, cable and copper pipe out of my cellar. Well worth the visit. You will need to take ID.

Once you find the place... It is in the middle of nowhere.

It is a clean (good for tyres)
Breezy ( Always take a coat for the rain, it blows sideways up there.)
Friendly ( once you have undertaken the mandatory I'd checks, future visits are smooth)
Best prices - having visited other yards, I always feel that the price is good, and their scales work.
Enjoyable ( the guy in the weighing shed is so pleasant and friendly)

Been using this scrapyard for many years the lads in the yard are always helpful and get you sorted quickly. The girls in the office are allso very nice and get the job done and your money is in the bank the same day. Do miss having the cash in my hand though.
