Don't use this firm if your legal issue is related to allergies. I contacted them after nearly dying after eating out at a restaurant. It was an open and shut case, the restaurant admitted liability, I'd made them aware of my allergy and it was their mistake. The law firm call centre operative assured me my case would be taken on. After telling the restaurant I wouldn't accept their initial offer because I'd found a lawyer, JF Law contacted me to tell me they wouldn't take me on after all because my symptoms didn't last for more than four weeks. As anyone with allergy knows, most people recover within a few days unless the reaction kills you. You don't continue to have symptoms for weeks after you've been given adrenaline and other necessary treatment. But while the reaction is ongoing you go through hell. This firm advertise themselves as being suitable for allergy sufferers, but this clause makes it impossible for anyone but bereaved relatives to benefit from their services. And the call centre operative should have been clear on this and should never have told me they would take my case. They have put me in an extremely awkward position. Really terrible communication and absolutely ridiculous to have this clause related to allergies.

Mia Burke has been wonderful, very responsive and meticulous in how she works. I felt my claim was in safe hands and she’s managed to successfully close my case, walking away with more money than I expected.

From the previous reviews it seems there may be a few less reliable solicitors which is bringing the company rating down, but Mia deserves 5* and I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Just really bad all round. Six different people dealt with my case, I had to repeat the same info over and over again despite it being all in email threads, statements and reports. Monumental waste of time and they only dropped my case once I began to get frustrated with them. 15+ months of drawn out correspondence. The entire process was just pants. I'd definitely suggest finding another company if you want to make any claim.

I am writing to express my deep concern regarding a recent interaction with your firm, JF Medical Solicitors. I submitted an online inquiry detailing my medical injury sustained in 2020.

Shortly thereafter, I received a call from a secretary, who proceeded to inquire further about my medical history gaining sensitive inforamtion. However, during our conversation, K abruptly informed me that your firm could not assist me due to the two-year time limit for claiming medical negligence even though she was aware my medical injury was in 2020. Despite my query regarding your company's policy on this matter, K terminated the call without explanation.

I find it deeply troubling that K initiated a conversation about my medical injury, only to inform me of your firm's inability to assist, and then abruptly hang up. This lack of professionalism and disregard for my concerns is unacceptable.

Upon further investigation, I discovered discrepancies between K's assertion and the information provided on your website. It states that individuals have three years to file a claim, with exceptions for cases where the injury was not immediately apparent or when individuals lack mental capacity. This misinformation, coupled with K's unprofessional conduct, has only heightened my distress.

In light of these concerns, I have lodged a formal complaint with your company. I believe it is my right, especially given the circumstances surrounding our interaction.

I trust that you will address these issues promptly and transparently. Your firm's reputation and adherence to ethical standards are of utmost importance, and I hope that you will take the necessary steps to rectify this situation.
