I have just ended my membership. I was a member (chartered) for decades, and got very little back from IOSH. Like almost every fellow member I speak to, we've completely lost faith in our institution to do the best for its members. Terrible value for money. Are you a new safety professional? Join something else instead.

Wow, just called IOSH for some advise about which of their courses might be suitable for a specific group of staff within our organization. I was clearly told that IOSH cannot provide any advise about the suitability of their courses, that IOSH do not provide any training and that I should contact one of the companies who provide iosh training. IOSH designs training which is provided by others (fair enough), but is not in a position to advise anyone on which course might be suitable for their use (very strange).
