The team have given me a very professional service from my first enquiry about putting my property on the market to the quick sale of it. The marketing was excellent and Tracy looked after me and arranged for the survey carried out prior to getting it on the market. I would not recommend this firm if you are buying a house. I cannot comment on their other services. We're lucky the seller's were so accommodating or else the house sale would have fallen through. Post sharing our awful experience with a work friend, we found out they used the same firm / solicitor as us and had the same experience. The service felt lax, lacking communication and unprofessional. When I complained, I was told it was 'normal process'. The seller's solicitor said the opposite. I'm not a solicitor but in the professional field I work, I'd be disciplined for what this firm says is 'normal'.

Selling a house while dealing with a probate/confirmation application is pretty stressful, but the team at Innes & Mackay were professional, efficient, and responsive, always answering calls and emails politely, efficiently and informatively. My experience is ongoing, 4 weeks ago we placed an offer on a property which was accepted, our solicitor has been chasing innes and mckay weekly for formal written acceptance, now chasing daily, we are due to move in two weeks.I personally called innes and Mckay and was told this would be dealt with, still no communication, I have sent 2 emails no response. It defies logic that a buyer of a property can be treated in such a way, the seller who is probably blissfully unaware is their customer. I note that when you get a 1 star review you ask for the reviewer to contact you, tried to contact you 3 different ways and this is my 4th.

*****5th way through Facebook, and guess what no communication......

absolutely disgusted in this firm. they were my buyers solicitors and were uncooperative from the start with a "I will do what I want when I want attitude" . my poor solicitor had to chase them up for weeks with no response for a contract, then they started asking ridiculous questions which a good solicitor should already know, like why something wasn't done with planning permission through a government scheme when it wasn't a listed building etc. some of the questions were downright ridiculous and literally buying time! anyways to cut a long story short, 2 days before completion they send a email stating my client has decided to withdraw. ..no reason no nothing. I have never in my 43 years of buying and selling property ever dealt with such a firm.
also to add the initial offer was littered with errors including the price offered and I won't deal with anyone using this firm again

I would just like to pass on a very positive comment regarding the Innes & Mackay’s Conveyancing Team, who handled the sale of my property on Telford Rd., Inverness.
Having sold properties in the past, I always find it a bit nerve wracking, especially when it comes to the legal side as anything can pop up, especially at the last minute. But the Team kept me right up to date on all the transaction aspects and that put me at ease, and I gratefully thank you all for that!
I would highly recommend Innes & Mackay for any aspect involving the buying or selling a property to anyone that wants a professional and very helpful service and done with a smile. I will definitely be using them in the future.
