Independent Inspections Ltd: An Overview

If you're considering engaging Independent Inspections Ltd, located at 6 Caxton Rd, Fulwood, Preston PR2 9NZ, United Kingdom, or calling them at 1772707600, it's important to have a clear picture of what this company offers and what to expect. Specializing in Surveyor services, Independent Inspections Ltd caters to clients needing thorough and reliable surveying solutions. However, potential clients should approach this company with a critical eye due to the mixed feedback they've received.

One of the key points of interest about Independent Inspections Ltd is its commitment to accessibility. The company boasts a wheelchair-accessible car park and a wheelchair-accessible entrance, making it easier for individuals with mobility issues to conduct business. This attention to detail can be seen as a positive indicator of their overall corporate culture and customer service approach.

Despite offering valuable services, the company has garnered a total of 36 reviews on Google My Business. The average opinion provided is quite concerning, rated at only 1.7/5. This average suggests that many clients have had subpar experiences with the company. It's crucial for prospective clients to take these reviews seriously and consider them alongside the services offered before making a decision.

When looking into Independent Inspections Ltd, it's beneficial to understand both their strengths and weaknesses. On the positive side, their accessibility features demonstrate a willingness to accommodate diverse needs, which can be appealing to customers who value inclusivity. However, the low average rating raises questions about the quality of their services, staff competence, or customer service standards.

For anyone interested in hiring Independent Inspections Ltd for surveyor services, it would be wise to thoroughly research beyond the available reviews. This might include checking for any recent improvements or responses to previous criticisms, looking for additional ratings or reviews from different platforms, and reaching out directly to inquire about specific concerns or to request more detailed information about their services and process.

Given the location in Fulwood, Preston, the company is conveniently situated for clients in the northern regions of England. Yet, the quality of service seems to be a critical factor that outweighs the accessibility features for many potential clients. Therefore, while Independent Inspections Ltd may offer the necessary surveying expertise, the current customer satisfaction levels suggest that there might be significant room for improvement in how they deliver their services.

Insurance claim for carpet. They offered us a compatible carpet. Suddenly that product was unavailable but the settlement price had been locked at that product. But all other ranges they offered at that price were lower quality so they coerced us into paying an upgrade just to get the same level quality as our original damaged carpet. Devious!!

After an insurance claim in October 21 we were put through to Independent Inspections, they in great detail explained that due to buying power, deals with fitters and relationships with insurers that a carpet supplied by them would be of a far higher value than any cash settlement so we agreed to allow them to supply the replacement, in the next breath they said that they had no fitters in our area and we would have to accept the lower payment.

Back to our insurer and with threat of the financial ombudsmen they found a fitter, we then had a home visit by one of there staff to choose / order the carpet. I should have realised what we were in for when he advised that we should not pay the excess or an upgrade fee until the carpet was in and ready for fitting.

Mid November we get a call saying the carpet was in, rather than arranging to have it fitted during the Christmas period we agreed an early January call to organise fitting dates.

Throughout January, February and into March there must have been a dozen calls with Independent Inspections trying to pay the excess (they would say they couldn't take payment over the phone, send out dead links for on-line payment, arrange calls where they could take card payment then either blame working from home or system problems for either not calling back or for not being able to take payment - another complaint to our insurers and 24 hours later they managed to take our payment over the phone.

48 hours later (once they were in receipt of our excess and upgrade monies) they call to say sorry - we would have to accept the original lower payment as they have no fitters in our area.

Once again complaining to our insurer Independent Inspections find a fitter and arrange for an early April fitting (claim was originally made in October).

Today they fitted the carpet - we have just found a lump where the fitters have dropped / left something under the carpet while fitting - contact Independent inspections to be told the fitter can't return as he is too far away.

Now on hold for yet another complaint to insurance company.

Donโ€™t be fooled by the name, this company are far from Independent. They are paid by the retail companies and if the report they did on our flooring is anything to go by are happy to produce inaccurate and fanciful reports to get them off the hook. The inspector got the number of people in the household wrong, said we had a pet when we donโ€™t and made false claims about damp that he could have had no way of verifying. If you are in dispute with a retailer and they offer to send these guys round donโ€™t let them in your house as their job is to make sure your claim fails as quickly as possible.

Shocking company to deal with. After water damage insurers sent round I.I. Having chosen a new carpet we were assured it would take about 3 weeks. I chased them on several occasions to be told it was still on order. Only 7 weeks later I was told it was an I.T problem and had never been ordered!! How come this wasnt picked up weeks earlier and dealt with. Never want to deal with this shoddy company again.

DON'T let this liars into your property. They will lie on the report. My carpet was fitted and on the very first day orange marks started to appear. The report stated the customer uses bleaching products on the carpert. Why the HELL would be use any cleaning products on a carpert that cost ยฃ45 sq.

I've got issues with the wooden floor I've bought from Luxury Flooring. They appointed Independent Inspections LTD to "investigate". The guys from Independent Inspection showed up 2 weeks after, spent 5 minutes, answered no question whatsoever, and measure my concrete subfloor with a tool set for wooden scale (see picture). The report showed (of course) the moisture was High and that I've got problems with the subfloor. In fact it would have been Low should the tool set to Concrete scale as it should have been. It took me 1 week to explain the problem with their own report and another 1 week to agreed that they need to reassess the report and they offered me a second property visit on the 27th of Oct (today is 29th of September so in 1 month time). The supplier (Luxury flooring) could not care less as it's their earliest availability. Independent Inspection LTD could not care less even more. Their tactic is to extort the client so that he drops the case as there is not hope to get something claimed. Absolutely shocking gang, wonder why nobody still went after them big time and why such a business can still exist.

Had a burst pipe and required new carpets. Reported the problem 6.00pm the building insurance guy was here the next day at 11.00am. I had to chase Independent Inspections Ltd and then was given a date in two weeks time for them to come out. What am I supposed to do with wet carpets in the house for two weeks.

I spoke with y insurance company who aid that the agreement they have with II Ltd is that they are to attend within 3 working days.

Looking at the rating they have they do need to get their act together

Appalling company! Unfortunately I've had to go through Independent Inspections to replace a carpet that was damaged by flood water and the whole experience has been a complete fiasco. It seems that no one there takes any responsibility or knows what the correct procedures are for handling claims. I've spent, literally, hours on the phone on hold or trying to get an answer; emails and requests for call-backs get ignored; I've been lied to numerous times; I've been given completely inaccurate or wrong information; I am still waiting for my new carpet, weeks and weeks later....
