Unfortunately, I can’t say I had a good experience. It was very, very slow. Poor communication and no urgency despite my house sale being through auction with a 56 day timeline from sale to completion. Luckily, the auction company was very kind and understanding and extended the time for me as much as possible and I was able to get the house. However, the management at Hutchins and co is poor in my opinion. I was promised that the auction sale would be dealt with promptly and it was not.

Not to mention I spent a lot of money on this solicitors, but I don’t feel the work reflected the cost. I was also made to pay £250 for a Deed of Variation that was then not used, and they chose the route of a £36 indemnity policy, which I also had to pay. I was furious about this.

Luckily I got the house in the end after the sellers threatened to pull out of the sale. I can’t say I have much trust in solicitors overall. As a first time buyer this was an extremely anxious process for me as I had no idea what was going on, and my questions were rarely answered.

Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend.

Roberta was absolutely great, throughout the transaction of purchasing my first property, she explained all the steps involved, answered every email. Every time I called the office, if Roberta was unavailable Carlotta would take on the call and update me. They both worked super fast, I am honestly lost for words as every solicitor I have ever dealt lacks in communication, but this cannot be said about Roberta and Carlotta. I highly recommend!!
