HRS Family Law Solicitors - West Bromwich

I called on Monday 29th January to book an appointment for today. The receptionist assured the appointment that the appointment was confirmed. When I went to the firm, I was told there was no appointment. That the solicitor was on a call, and there was nothing that could be done. There were no apologies from their end despite the fact that it was their mistake, and the receptionist told me multiple times that she "didn't make the appointment." It was unprofessional, and these individuals represent HRS Family Law Solicitors. I have booked my day off at work to attend this appointment. For the receptionist to tell me to go to Gangar Solicitors, I was upset. What confidence do I have to call again for this to not happen again?

Edit: I was able to book an appointment, I was assured that the solicitor would be here for my appointment. I was able to get my documents checked by a solicitor. The Solicitor was great and so was the person I spoke on the phone but I was still disappointed by the rude staff member when I first came in.

From the outside, to the inside, the place looks cold and dated. I should of none it wasn't going to be a good experience from the offset. My communications via email only with my solicitor came across cold, unsympathetic, money hungry and sarcastic. It's bad enough you going to a solicitor to sort out a situation. I understand fully it's their job. Unfortunately I felt as if I was another case number not a human being.

I used HRS for my divorce and my solicitor Theresa Walker who picked up my case was absolutely phenomenal. I would highly recommend HRS especially Theresa who always kept in full communication throughout. I cannot thank HRS enough for helping during what was an horrendous time in my life.

Charged £1500 for one hearing and only met 20 minutes before the final hearing. Tried to convince me to change my mind on what I wanted and said I could change order at later date... spending an hour prior to hearing with applicants solicitor. Worst experience of my life!! I realised I could have easily done a better job representing myself as all other hearings. Don't care just want your money!!

Have no care for client and only in taking money. Had initial consultation and after around 20 minutes was poorly advised to apply for court order at a cost of £500. Was told this would be in front of judge next morning and would guarantee what I needed. Paid for order only to be told next day it was invalid, shouldnt have been applied for and couldn't be executed. No refund was given despite it being processed on their advice. Partway through process I was then contacted by another solicitor at branch saying she was taking over, no reason given. She was just as incompetent, constantly had incorrect information and complete disinterest in what was going on. I was giving wrong information regarding payments and repeatedly was told incorrect fees. They had no care regarding the outcome of my case, didnt know the process of the system when i asked, and simply referred me to other organisations, did not listen to my wishes and instead overuled them to make their job easier. Multiple times appeared at court hearings without the correct paperwork which delayed things and also put my case at a disadvantage. Very unprofessional and uncaring, not what is expected when you are already in a stressful and unfamiliar situation. Would advise anyone to avoid them.
