What to say, looking for a solicitor? Look no further. Lesley, Anisa the whole team worked on a disrepair case for me which lasted 18 months. Throughout that time they always kept me informed, translated points for me I may not have understood and always were available to answer what may have seemed the simplest of questions and adviced/suggested never told me what to do. I am writing to commend Lesley, a solicitor specialising in housing disrepair without reservation. My story will I hope explain why.

My housing association landlord had over a number of years repeatedly failed to tackle a serious dry rot problem which was spreading aggressively and my home deteriorating due to their inactions.
Wether it was visiting to inspect, phoning me, arranging a temporary transfer or progressing work on site, they repeatedly failed to honour their commitments.

Their ongoing failures made me feel very much let down and highly stressed and this in turn affected my health.
I lacked the knowledge and confidence to tackle this very difficult complex housing problem on my own. I had been advised by friends to make official complaints, write to local councillors and write to my MP but nothing seemed to get the housing association to do what was needed to tackle the disrepair. I feared I might be heading for a nervous breakdown.

The service I received from Lesley was excellent. She was communicative, responsive and always tried to explain everything to me very clearly.

Told me it wasn’t legally binding (no witness) and advised wrongly on that assumption!
When I asked why the witnesses weren’t good - “oh I didn’t read the 2nd page”
