We spent a night at this establishment (which is situated on the main street in Longtown|) whilst on our way to Scotland for a brief holiday because my wife wanted to look up an old friend who had settled near Longtown. I was slightly concerned when I booked it as the owner said she no longer 'did breakfasts' but as it was reasonable price I booked it anyway. I need not have worried - it was very comfortable with an excellent shower room attached and we discovered that the Gretna bakery a short distance up the main street does an excellent breakfast at a very good price. There was also a kettle, mugs, and a supply of tea & coffee etc in the bedroom so we were very satisfied. Price was reasonable and if we want to return to Longtown we would probably book it again.

What an amazing,comfortable, and cosy place to visit and stay. Its a hidden Gem. From the moment I drove into Longtown, Carlisle, i felt like one of the locals.Within 2mins of getting out my car i was chatting to probably the friendliest people I have ever met.|"Home from Home" Waow what can I say....! This place so lives up to its name.|Very clean room, comfortable beds,great shower. Coffee and tea making facilities in the room. |Joy the landlady was very nice. She made me feel very welcome.She even invited me along to a BBQ with great music from a jazz band which was being held at The Globe Tavern,which is owned by Joy and her husband. I've had an absolute blast here and will definitely be back. We stayed for 1 night for a wedding at Kirklinton Hall. Ideal location, lovely big room for 3, clean and well kept. No breakfast available but we were advised of this when we booked. Would stay again. Only slight downside was a bit of noise from the road as we were at the front of the building.

We had booked 2 rooms, 1 including 3 single beds and the other a double and single. We only saw the host once and assumed we would see them on exit but just left our keys in our room doors. ||||Only 4 of us were able to have a shower as there was not enough hot water. The towels had a musty smell. 2 of the beds, 1 in each room had blood stains on.||||The description of 'patio area' is a bit to be desired and is not signed or labelled how you would get outside to 1 swing seats? !||||Bathrooms could have done with a deep clean and both extractor fans could do with a hoover. ||||We wouldn't stay here again, but probably have a need to be that area again.

Warm welcome from the owner who gave us the key and let us come & go as we pleased. Really lovely decor in the room & en suite. Comfy bed & very quiet surroundings even thought it's on the main street. I would highly recommend it & will definitely be staying there again

Now offering room-only board but to a very high standard. The quality furnishings and carpets are very tasteful and the decor is to a high standard. A pleasure to stay.

I stayed over here for 2 nights and found the b&b to be very clean, perfect location as there is many shops/places to eat near by and the landlady was lovely! ||Will defiantly be stopping here again and would highly recommend anybody else to stay

6 of us descended on Longtown (should have been going to Grand Canaria ?) for a 4 night stay...Home from Home was ideal for what we wanted...fully equipped with everything we needed...spotlessly clean...chippy next door...only 2 pubs in the town...but that didn’t stop us...pub crawl was ideal...?
