Food was quick and the medium plaice seemed huge but was mostly batter.
Unfortunately it was very oily, not crisp and tasteless with far too much batter Onion rings were not crispy either. Photo is of half of the fish and you can see it glistening with oil.

Very much the poorest fish & chips I've had in a very long time. I've certainly never had worse. There was more batter than fish by volume if not by weight, and the fish was not fresh. It was also dripping with oil/grease. The chips weren't so bad, though also greasy, and there was plenty of them. Maybe by swamping me with chips, they were hoping I wouldn't notice how bad the fish was. But potatoes aren't the main, they are supposed to be the side. I was genuinely shocked by their cheek at serving up such rubbish for 12.90 - large cod and chips - Was it really, I couldn't tell for sure what fish it was, it was almost fossilised, and probably a small one bigged up with batter to try and make it look the business. Buyer beware!!!

Had fish and chips this week because our kitchen is being rebuilt.

Rubbish and not that cheap either. Suspect the fish had been recooked as it was tough as old boots. IF we go again we shall make sure the fish is cooked from fresh and NOT refried

Classic chippy. Went in late and they still served us as the last customers. Scoffed the chips in the car as was starving from a long day. Delicious fish. They cook in sunflower oil I believe. Pineapple burger looked intriguing.
