Used them for a Separation Agreement spent over £3000 and received a miss-spelt separation agreement which had to be corrected.
Was given excuse after excuse i complained and was then pushed towards their complaints procedure where the file was looked at and it was all my fault. They then would have no contact with me due to the complaint.
Used another solicitor gave them the same information and they dealt with it with no drama at all.
You get what you pay for i guess.

Robert Slade is a credit not only to himself but HCB. Not having used this company before, I was a little apprehensive. I need not have worried. Robert immediately made me feel comfortable with his friendly but professional manner. He dealt with a delicate issue very sensitively and quickly. As a result of Robert's advice and assistance, our son was admitted to a school where he had previously been advised he would be put on a waiting list. As a direct result of Robert's help, our son is now in a school where he feels safe and he is a changed person. Thank you Robert and your team for all of your assistance from the very first telephone call I made to conclusion of this matter.

My review isn’t necessarily of HCB per se but of one of their Senior Solicitors , a Mr John Buckle , who was acting for my opponent

During my business life , I encountered hundreds of Solicitors so have plenty of experience dealing with the legal fraternity . In my opinion , Mr Buckle is the most incompetent Solicitor I have ever come across . His performance throughout the dispute was abject - he managed to spin the case out beyond belief . It could and should have been settled within 6 months - thanks to his ineptitude , it took 12 months during which time we lost the sale of our house and incurred increased legal bills .

Mr Buckle’s “ coup de gras “ was to lose a very important legal document which had been signed / witnessed by both parties . There was not even an apology , just an ineffectual shrug of the shoulders . Unbelievably , he made no attempt to find this document meaning that we and , of course , his client had to go through the whole rigmarole once again .

I subsequently complained to HCB’s COO , James Paradeda , who informed me that as I wasn’t their client , he was unable to consider a complaint .

Next stop was the Solicitors Regulatory Authority ( SRA ) who regulate the performance of Solicitors for the benefit of the Public . There are 7 Principles which Solicitors have to abide by when practising . I consider that Mr Buckle had breached 3 of them during his handling of our case . Notwithstanding some truly shocking antics by Mr Buckle , the SRA deemed that the circumstances of my complaint did not meet their Threshold criteria . It seems that , unless a Solicitor is acting fraudulently , the SRA do not particularly want to know . Interestingly , but not surprisingly , this organisation is funded by Solicitors themselves so no surprises who they favour when analysing culpability !

Equally , it also seems that if you are not a client , it’s a virtual impossibility to pursue an action against a solicitor which , in my opinion , is fundamentally wrong .

In conclusion , just steer well clear of Mr Buckle.

I gave a 1 star because talked with her last month to see my son who lives far away and she says give me £300 and she will make a letter to my son and so i was 2 weeks late of payment because i was in a car crash and then sick. Then i called her and she says i am late on payment so i have to pay £300 extra for being late. So i dont know why i have to pay £300 extra for being late that is not fair for me because i was sick and i find that dumb. This is absolutely rubbish she is not a good lawyer at all.

I used this solicitors for the sale of my house and purchase of new house.

I would not recommend them to anyone, I had in total five solicitors over the course of time it took to go through, all as useless as the last.

Yasmin was a handful, awfully rude and abrupt consistently ignoring my emails/calls. Towards the end a lady called Eileen got involved in the cases and was better but again I found my emails were frequently ignored.

My name was frequently spelt wrong in the correspondence I did get, they did not follow up on things I had asked them to do and just completely made things up!

I previously used another solicitors in Walsall and will be going back to them next time!

I contacted HCB solicitors regarding an employer settlement agreement. Got in touch with Mr. Daniel Da Silva. Mr. Silva was extremely professional and provided me with the right advise and helped me explain each clause in the agreement. I literally had to change 2-3 solicitors before coming across HCB solicitors. Very happy with the prompt service.

Yasmin Khan has been VERY rude and unprofessional in dealing with my case. Her tone and way of talking to clients is appalling. She delayed our purchase because of her laid back attitude. Would not recommend.

I've worked with these solicitors before and they have been exceptionally good however on this occasion they have been very unprofessional, poor responses given and mishandling of paperwork to the point when you write complaints they don't even apologies for their faults. A particular member seemed as if she was taking the mick with her email responses. I couldn't have put my writing in clearer english and yet she still failed to understand what I was saying. Your case will just end up being given to random work colleagues who cant even communicate amongst each other and give you updates. Very disappointing and dissatisfied with their work ethic and professionalism.
