We just completed on a property purchase. I do not usually write reviews however the superb conveyancing service from Alison and Sharon from the HCB Bedford office is worth sharing.

DON'T use their mortgage services.

They'll be extremely slow to reply and they'll let your fixed rate expire leaving you on the hook for a few months. My mortgage went from £900 to £1900 as I got put on variable rate.

They had 8 months to sort it out!

Now I'm in debt and my credit score was severely impacted!

Update: Raised a formal complaint - was sent to their "independent" complaints handling called Resolve Legal and of course I was in the wrong by not spotting their wrong dating of 1st of November.

HCB Solicitors are the best conveyancers I will recommend if you are in need of faster and accurate service, regardless of your situation. You'd better understand my review if you are a first time buyer who had gone through frustrations from two different solicitors (delays & mistakes).

Nearly every other aspect of selling / buying our house(s) has been a fiasco, involving dealing with multiple people who seem unable to effectively do their jobs. Alison at HCB has been the bright spot! A competent professional! Very impressed with this company . Found the sales process very stressful but Alison Wilson and Sharon Underwood were highly professional and offered an excellent service to us. They were approachable, reassuring, did not blind us with legal jargon . Their communication skills were excellent, very prompt and always with the information we needed.
