After using the firm for Divorce which was not completed as my husband died, without making a Will. So, Divorce stopped and grief took over.

I now needed a Solicitor to help with sorting out his estate. As i was already using the firm. I decided to continue with them, but needed a Solicitor from another department. As they had many details, i thought the process would have been simpler.

A Solicitor was selected from the different department. All was going well until she left. I did feel a bit out on a limb.

I found it hard adjusting to the new person initially, but as time passed, she helped me to understand more about the process.

Communication was good, if the person who i wanted wasn't available, my phone call was always returned.

Steer clear of these solicitors, they will will try to screw you for every penny they can, money is all they are interested in. They are useless at fighting your cause and don’t give a toss. They will obtain money from you as your case progresses but they are primarily interested in screwing you for what they can. My advice is stay well away from them.

Very frustrating and extremely expensive experience in dealing with them as executors for my mother’s estate. Their fees absorbed a high percentage of her modest financial assets. I received no guidance about their role as executors and mine as beneficiary. Despite having complete legal responsibility for the sale of the house their “hands off” approach to the sale price meant that capital gains tax had to be paid which was avoidable. Then they charged more for their fees in preparing the capital gains tax return than the actual tax that was due. They seem complacent and unconcerned about my experience.
