If I could give zero stars I would! Stay well clear of these solicitors, wish we had reviewed them properly before instructing them for the sale of our property. We are 4 months in with a cash buyer and still no completion date in sight. Claire Watson will take a minimum of 3 days to do anything that is requested of her and that’s only if you chase. No reply to emails unless it’s to say she will review the file and absolutely no information shared or updates given. If we can save at least 1 person the stress that we have experienced then it would have been worth writing this review. Absolutely appalling and shocking service. AVOID!!!

No words to describe how bad they are.
I purchased an auction property, it was transparent from the start that it is 28 days completion and agreed on.
3 weeks of lies, no meaningful responses and nothing done.
We ended up representing ourselves to avoid losing the property. It was a very stressful time, including getting registered with the Land Registry.
We made mistakes and the property is still not completely registered.
If I could give -10 I would, not even a 0
Totally unprofessional, causing huge stress to clients.

Unprofessional, slow, rude and poor customer service.

Best advice I can give you is avoid this place even if they offer to pay you. Unbelievable slow and highly unprofessional. Remersh Kaur team handled the sale and purchase of my property and it got to the point that I had to get cc’d into every email from the buyers solicitor so I could ensure that they responded. At one point Dara blatantly lied stating information had been sent to the buyers solicitor from the management company however the management company hadn’t sent the information to Ross Coates as they hadn’t responded to there emails for 2 weeks prior.

After all that it went though about a month ago and now I’m having to deal with a late payment fine for stamp duty because they took longer then 2 weeks to file the paperwork. To date have sent them 4 emails and multiple calls about this and no response to any email.

Long and short of it if you have the time and energy to babysit a bunch of inadequate solicitors then choose them.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Nearly cost us our house purchase. My partner had used their services about 6 years ago to buy his property... the kicker is, they completely forgot to register him on the land registry and we were none the wiser.

When it came to selling the property and buying a new one, our new solicitor noticed his name had never been on the register for 6 YEARS. By this point we had made an offer on a house which we couldn't move forward until our name was correctly registered, so we got back in touch with Ross Coates solicitors.

They were rude, dismissive, gaslighting... the way they (Stephen) spoke and acted to my partner was horrible. I don't know exactly why they didn't bother to add our names to the register correctly, but we had to wait for our file to be retrieved from their off-site archive. We had to get our parents involved due to stress and only when we did that did things get moving. Our seller was close to pulling out on our purchase as we took so long and we had a case for negligence.

Don't even bother unless you want a massive headache 5-10 years down the line as they can't even be bothered to finish the job correctly.

These guys seriously need to look up the dictionary definition of Harmony, which couldn’t be further from the truth. Harmony Law AKA Ross Coates solicitors have a nice enough team but are a disaster.

My father appointed Ross Coates to handle the conveyancing on the sale of his property, which FINALLY went through in early December having started in the Spring. Admittedly there were some hold ups due to probate on the buyer’s side but the simple fact is that their business model is quote cheap and stack ‘em up, which puts their team in a completely impossible position in terms of being able to service clients appropriately, working only by email and basically refusing to speak to the other party’s solicitor (who were equally awful).

I had to step in as my father was going mad with it all and it was truly horrific. The final nail in the coffin was a message from my father’s equity release firm in the New Year to say there had been a 12 day delay between completion and when they actually received the sum owed so interest was still racking up on a property that he no longer owned to the tune of £1k+. When I spoke to the team, this came as no surprise and was resolved in a few days (by which time the interest had gone up again). I can only take comfort that the amount they had to pay the bank to cover their error was more than we paid for the conveyancing so they actually made a loss!

Absolutely shocking service.

Cheapest quote I found online, had multiple calls at the beginning to secure me as a client, after I paid the initial deposit they've been silent.

When I've asked relatively simple questions I've not received replies, and in the hope of getting the sale completed by the date they originally told me it would be complete I paid extra for it to be expedited.

I had confirmation from Ross Coates that the sale would be complete in the agreed timescale, however I'm not hopeful and still not having my questions answered so I can complete mortgage application.

As per the 99% of other reviews on here I'd recommend avoiding.,

Where do I start, other than taking over 7 months to complete a simple flat sale, their incompetence beggars belief. They ask for the same info 3 times, don't read what you send back and then ask for the same again, they don't answer emails, don't answer calls and then to top it all they paid out over £1000 in error and had the nerve to say I would get my money, yes my money back when they got it returned to them. I am still waiting 6+ weeks for this money with still no positive outcome.

Pay more with somebody else, anybody else and don't put yourself through the trauma of dealing with them.

I agree with most of the comments on here. AVOID THIS FIRM !! Nearly led to sale collapsing but took 3 months on a 3 week deal. A straightforward cash sale got dragged out and they couldn't be bothered to speak to the leaseholders to get outstanding service charges (yet charged a "leasehold fee"). They said no sale no fee but then said that there would be a charge to pull out! The ultimate insult was that they failed to tell the buyer we would not do an exchange and completion on the same day because harmony wanted to charge an extra £240 for this. I have the emails and ultimately called the buyer and they had never been told this (so that Harmony could charge me more!). Complete incompetance in over20 years of transactions. Will never use them again and am in fact going to complain to the law society about their ethics of misleading information. Never again you get what you pay for.
