Caveat emptor....We have just been the unwitting victim of Godwins Solicitors.
We have just sold(eventually)our house and Godwins were our buyers solicitors.
Slow...Antiquated...Difficult and frankly appalling service from this company.
They made the entire process so very difficult - requesting information that was absolutely not required and even cost us an additional £960 for no reason at all.
Our solicitors(who were brilliant and so patient) said that they had never experienced such a difficult, un-necessarily protracted and unpleasant transaction.
Look elsewhere, would be our advice unless you have time & money to waste.

Poor experience. Inital fee guidance very far off end costs. Poor service in the round - take a long time to reply to emails, often don't provide all details meaning further emails required - all while clocking up additional fees. Recommend avoiding.

Acted as the solicitor for our vendor.
Slow, antiquated service and mistakes made delaying the whole process.
As a final insult, after monies for the sale had been transferred, rather than acting professionally allowing passing on the information decided to be in a meeting for an extended time only to be interrupted by helpful intervention by the vendor.
If you want slow uncaring service this appears to be the place to go!
