GLP and Heather helped me with a complex CICA case which I wouldn’t have managed on my own.
Unfortunately the CICA is a very slow process and I found it more difficult than the actual criminal court case.
It took over 6 years to finalise. And there was an expert used who unfortunately didn’t understand things.
I did get the option on the day of the second tribunal (the first had been cancelled due to sickness) to wait and be assessed by another expert. But after 6 years I couldn’t take anymore.
I’m very grateful to Heather who often should have anxious emails from me, the Barrister who was excellent at tribunal. Meghan who wrote up my trust and the polite staff who answered the phone.

I do believe the CICA as a whole is flawed and if you don’t take legal advice, which obviously costs, then you could really lose out. Even in my case. I had legal advise and was told to expect a lot more than I got.
But I’m just glad it’s all over.
