Utterly hopeless (from a house buying selling perspective). From the reviews it looks like they excel at marriage/divorce cases. If you’re buying/selling avoid this company like the plague.

Poor (non existent?) communication, random case handler changes who then seem to lose all previous communication… really really terrible, it’s only when you use a competent conveyancer/solicitor that you can get a true grasp of how utterly inept they are.

I feel sorry for anyone that is currently using them. Good luck but don’t plan too far ahead with your plans.

Buying a house is always stressful, but my purchase was made even more challenging due to delays caused by other solicitors involved. However, Leigh-Anne was absolutely fantastic throughout the process. She constantly chased all parties, kept me updated at every stage, and went above and beyond to ensure everything stayed on track. On the day of completion, she even came into the office at 8am to make sure everything went smoothly. Not only did she push the other solicitors, but she also liaised with the estate agents to ensure we met the deadline. I couldn’t have asked for a more dedicated and proactive solicitor - highly recommended - and I can honestly say that if it were not for Leigh-Ann, we would not have completed within the deadline. Outstanding work and service from Leigh-Ann and Gilroy Steel.

I didn't have the misfortune of dealing with Gilroy Steel directly, but they acted for the buyers of our flat in our recent sale.

I can honestly say that they were one of the worst companies in terms of quality of work and customer service. When it is possible to get in touch with them (not often), there were a multitude of errors made.

David single-handedly caused exchange to be delayed on a number of occasions and, when it came to completing, took far too long to transfer the money to our solicitors, including getting the amount wrong.

Use a proper solicitors, or get ready for a world of pain and stress.

After being recommended by our financial advisor we checked these solicitors reviews and were concerned at the seemingly low rating however we couldn't be more wrong. From the home visit to completion we cannot fault this company with their service. Dealt with queries promptly very polite staff. we take this opportunity to thank Harriett and her staff for dealing with our affairs in a such a professional manner and we would not hesitate to recommend this company to others

Absolutely useless, maximum prices, zero performance. The mortgage advisors, the estate agents and myself have phoned and emailed with zero information or even a reply.
Leigh-Anne Thorpe and her assistant Brook have no idea the stress and damage they are causing. I will be relieved when it all falls through at least the stress will be over and I can get back to having a life.
