Awful station. Northern rail made no announcement on the train about shortage of drivers, so we got off the train here to change and only knew when we looked at the electronic info board which is quite far from the platform edge. STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE FOR TWO&HALF HOURS.

There is NOTHING at this station or surrounding area. No toilets no shops no pubs no WiFi no signal no station buildings no ticket machine no vending machine NOTHING TO SEE. Paper train time table on only one side of the station. Geoff Marshall and Jago Hazard haven't been here as there is so little to even look at.

CCTV! Well there is precious little to vandalise and I doubt anyone is watching such a boring station maybe it is a punishment station for any bad staff to watch the CCTV.

Not a bird, squirrel or anything, not even an ant nest. OH YES we saw a wasp and a butterfly but the berries and the apple tree was rotting on the tree as even wildlife find the station dull.

To help pass the time my nephew and I though we would do Eye Spy not an exaggeration it lasted 10 minutes as we completed the game as there was NOTHING TO DO OR SEE.

Not bad services, trains to York, Hull and Doncaster. But the station is boring and forgettable.
