£4200 to conveyance a 1 bed flat.
Didn't keep us informed on cost or progress. Didn't feel like they were advising us in our best interest.
They missed the fact a basement was included on the estate agent floor plan of the property, but didn't flag it wasn't included in the lease.
They responded by off-loading responsibility stating it was for us to ensure all the documents matched...

(I may be wrong, but shouldn't the cost include for a comprehensive review of all information to make sure it matches?)

All in all, pretty woeful experience. 4K to complete some basic searches, miss important information, and send some late emails.

I'd give zero stars, but because the sale actually went through, I'll give one.

We couldn't be more pleased with the service we've received from Tilly at Gibson Young over the past two years. First, she dealt with probate after my mother's death extremely efficiently, explaining everything clearly, taking us through the process, and achieving a very satisfactory outcome. Then, more recently, she acted for us when we were selling my late mother's flat, and gave us the same professional support, especially when having to deal with our occasional frustrations about what was happening (or not happening) and negotiating effectively with the buyer's solicitor. Apart from all that, Tilly has been an absolute pleasure to deal with, friendly and positive from the word go. If it weren't for the fact that we live nearly 300 miles away, and therefore slightly impractical, we'd be very happy to keep Gibson Young as our solicitors for the future.
