I have been using George Hay accountants for the past decade. I had plenty of accounting firms reaching out trying to poach me, but they did not have any success because I always had a fantastic experience in dealing with George Hay.

Special thanks to Sarah Dixon, who has always been approachable and available on short notice to discuss my requirements. Her knowledge in the field and professionalism have been priceless.

Expensive, very slow to respond and charged for work not completed.

We were clients of George Hay for a number of years. They were not the cheapest by a long shot but we wanted someone local. We have found that they got progressively worse and worse over the years, to the point where it took over 7 months of chasing to get our annual accounts, and emails took weeks to get a response.

We have also recently found out that a task that we had been billed for had not been carried out. I have raised this with them and as we have already paid, I have got nowhere :-(.

Would not recommend to anyone.

I have always found George Hay to be efficient, professional and give me great advice. I find accountants are often there to protect themselves from losing their own practicing certificate and they tend to act in everyone else's interest except mine (including the taxman). George Hay are a breath of fresh air. I feel they are on my side and they and I would recommend them for any small business.

Started using George Hay in Biggleswade last year and it was a slow, inefficient and difficult process from start to finish. Requests to complete Accountant's Certificates for lending took ages and were eventually refused which meant our Lending stream was stopped. Every form that was completed despite all the information being calculated and provided by ME was followed by a huge bill. Unfairly charged for work that, according to another Accountant, was unnecessary. If I could give zero stars I would.
