We used Frederic Hall to act for us in the purchase of a leasehold flat.
It was a cash purchase of a vacant, chain free flat. The original quote from Frederic Hall stated an approximate time scale of 8-10 weeks.
The process took 8 months!
Despite constant chasing we received little communication from the solicitor, e-mails were often unanswered, when we rang the solicitor was always “with a client” and unable to speak with us.
We have bought and sold 12 properties in the last 12 years, including a house in France, and we have never encountered anything like this service.
Frederic Hall did admit they were responsible for the delay and reduced their fees to half price.
I would recommend avoiding them at all costs. Totally unprofessional firm.
