We are a firm of insurance loss assessors acting, in the main, for clients with undisputed insurance claims. However, nearly 4 years ago, a client came to us after his exceptionally large dental surgery burnt down. From the getgo, the two insurers involved played every possible “game” to deny liability and I assure you, we’ve been in business for more years than we care to remember and we are generally equally as good, so we thought, at playing the same games.

However, it was very evident that this claim was going to “go legal” and it was essential that we had absolute specialists on our clients side. Bringing Fenchurch law onboard was not a simple matter of going onto Google and finding a firm of lawyers with a “specialist partner“. We researched an interviewed four different firms. Not only were we impressed with the knowledge that the senior associate (Alex) who visited our offices but we also found great similarity in our clients case to that which Fenchurch had mentioned a specific case study on their website where the caselaw was in part similar to a problem that our client was experiencing.

We recommended Fenchurch to our client and within 20 months their team, including the deputy managing partner of the firm with chief conduct of the matter, turned a point blank denial of the claims and to what I believe will end up to be an over £5 million result.

I can’t begin to thank their team, including Dan, Jessica and Dru for their constant diligent work and also ensuring that the barrister chosen was top-notch. As is often the case, the Insurance company settled the claim, just one and a half weeks before the court date. As loss assessors, we consider ourselves Rottweilers in dealing with insurance companies. However, Fenchurch are American Pit Bulls (I had to look that up to find something more powerful than a Rottweiler!) and they will now become our goto lawyers of choice when it comes to claims that have been turned down unnecessarily by insurers and believe me, it’s rife.
