Almost made me lose £2,000, clearly unprepared for certain practises... I contacted the law firm last year regarding in an immigration query. The staff were friendly but themselves poorly prepared.
So.. I contacted them because I was having issues with my "right-to-remain" in the UK, then provided them my information as well as my parents, also when and where I was born etc. I asked them at least twice, "am I a citizen already?", "can I avoid doing the right-to-remain, settlement scheme etc.?".. Which they responded, "no, no, you have to re-apply to settlement scheme, but we need to do it for you", but they were asking for £2,000 so I thanked them and moved on, carried on trying to do the settlement scheme for a year...... (due to poor legal advice).
Fast-forward, I had time off and decided to pop back to the UK, because I got better legal advice for Chat-gpt..... Got back, applied for a passport, provided a whole lot of documents and now I'm here with my British passport.
So moral of the story/review, do not always expect for legal advice to be correct, always double check and ask regular un-qualified people: family, friends, strangers or Citizens Advice.
Super lucky I didn't go forward with these solicitors:)

After 1 rejected application for settle status, I searched for legal help at Expert Law.
The service was extremely disappointing. They didn't bother to read my emails properly or check the documents I sent— they even had my wrong address on file. My appeal was rejected by the Home Office, and all I got was a brief email with the rejection letter, no explanation or advice on what to do next. I later sent them an email with important information that could have impacted my case, but they never responded. All of this poor service cost me around £2000, and I received complete carelessness and incompetence.
