Dropped into Evans for some personal business. Staff were friendly & curtious. Solicitor gave me advice on what I needed. The whole experience went perfect & I would recommend this company, they are very professional.

SHYLOCKS!

Their Mo is to pay you compliments and charge you £120 an hour for doing so.
My solicitor was off sick but still charged £400 for doing nothing. They also charge a flat rate so it’s £120 an hour for photocopying etc.

Would you believe it? They have an in-house complaint system. Well, they promised to reply to my complaint within 30 days. It took me three attempts to get them to actually reply at all.

My advices go elsewhere although I know it’s not an uncommon problem with solicitors.

I can't speak highly enough of my experience of using Evans & Co for a property purchase. Stephanie, my conveyancer, was lovely- very professional, easy to get hold of and made sure I understood everything as we worked through the various stages of the purchase. Compared to previous experiences of solicitors where I've often felt that there was an unnecessary amount of legal terminology used and conversations were overly complicated, Stephanie was easy to talk to and happy to explain things for me when I was unsure which is so important when you're dealing with big decisions and lots of money. I've needed to go back to Stephanie for some advice since the sale has completed due to an unexpected issue arising with the property and she returned my call quickly and has jumped into action to try and help me which has been a massive relief. Thanks again

Used Evans and Co to sell my property. Diabolical service really. I did not find Stephanie helpful at all, quite patronising at times and ended up costing me money. Too many issues to list here. Really should have complained to the ombudsman, but doubt that would get me anywhere. I'd never recommend.
