after using the mechanics for MOTs in the past, we decided to do a service on our car. We asked for the standard filters, plus to look at the 2 other things on the car (minor things). He temp fixed one of them, and then ordered a part for another without even asking us if we wanted it, when we asked how much is the part, he said he didnt know?!
After chasing the invoice/cost (yes you read that right) for over 3 weeks, countless phone calls, promises to be called back which never happened, we got a bill for over £500! (still without an itemised bill) All for standard filters being changed, a fix on AC pipe and for 'looking' at the door. Bear in mind when we called up during the service day the car hadn't even been looked at by 3pm, and we got it back at 7:30pm - so thats 4.5 hours labour at MAX
and one month later we still havent got the invoice! We keep ringing up to see exactly how can we be charged that much and keep getting more excuses about people being on holiday. Given up.
Will avoid in the future. Shame, was recommended by a friend of the owner!!!
