I left regular service with the RAF in 2019 and submitted a compensation claim against hearing loss incurred as a result of duties conducted whilst serving. This was rejected as it was 'just outside' levels that fall into compensation range.

I was contacted by Eldred law in 2021 and invited to pursue my claim again as the rules had changed and my case was now 'within limits'.

The process was a long process, but having to satisfy many stakeholders, I maintained my patience. All the staff I interacted with were always professional with appropriate levels of sympathy towards my case.

I am delighted to say that they have won my case and I have received a decent sum of compensation. It doesn't go anyway towards repairing my hearing, I have to wear hearing aids at all times now, but it's better than the rejection in the first instance. It is nice to see the UK Gov't finally taking some responsibility rather than fobbing off claims made by veterans.
