Excellent. Kavita provided clear, effective advice to myself and five neighbours over an issue with the freeholder of our building. As a direct result of her guidance we obtained the delayed management accounts, resolved the issue over a sinking fund, and identified a way to work successfully with the building freeholder going forwards. The end result is a building that is now in excellent condition, with up to date accounts, and we have a good working relationship with the freeholder. I don't want Edwards Duthie Shamash to be disappointed with a one star review because they are in line with all of the major big name players who claim to offer community care help but in reality they do not. At least that's my experience. I have just discovered I first contacted them back in 2023 regarding my issue with Westminster Adult Social Care. I was advised that one of their expert solicitors would be in touch shortly. I can't find any response nor do I recall receiving any communication from them. However I can guarantee if there was a response it would have been the standard "CAPACITY REACHED" which all the firms use to dismiss you. I had not recalled this approach and recently re contacted them believing I sent an email to Ms. Laura Mannering who has extensive community care experience however it seems to then be redirected to a general team. Unlike my 2023 experience I was delightfully surprised to receive a phone call on Thursday 27/6/2024 from Para Legal Morgane Delplanque, warm, delightful and empathetic. This is the standard initial introduction that you get from all of the firms. They should be at RADA training to be an actor because they are so good at pretending to care. Morgane suggested they had "LIMITED CAPACITY" which I found very strange and slightly positive. I was asked how I would fund it and explained legal aid would be of help but happy to discuss private fees. My case would be put to the team and I'd probably get a call the following day. There was no call but today Monday 1/7/2024 I received an email stating "Many thanks for your enquiry UNFORTUNATELY OUR SOLICITORS DO NOT HAVE THE CAPACITY TO ASSIST YOU AT THIS TIME". NONE OF THE FIRMS EVER HAVE CAPACITY AT ANY TIME. I was provided with 6 other firms to contact. Three of the big names on that list have treated me exactly the same way. The others are new to me but given the experiences so far what is the point of bothering. There was also the usual mention of The Law Society. From my experience another useless waste of time. I was fully independent until the age of 67 when complications left me paralysed after waking from a coma. I can now barely mobilise with a walking frame and mostly bed bound. There has been definite breeches of the care act by Westminster adult social care. My complaint folder they claim to have not received and the Ombudsman refused to take my case siding with Westminster. Only an experienced lawyer can help me challenge the power of an authority like Westminster. I challenge everyone of Edward Duthie Shamash's employees to how they would handle going from being completely Independent to a wheelchair, a carer and a life spent mostly bed bound and then find that no one cares and the social care system provides no plan of rehabilitation and fails to mention that NHS continuing health exists.

Two stars for my past experience,
I used to come here few years back and dealt with a lovely solicitor who no longer works there but she was ever so helpful and supported me through my situation.
I called yesterday and spoke to the receptionist who also was working there during the time I had used the firms services. I came back as I was satisfied with my previous experience, however the receptionist gave me incorrect information, I actually called back to confirm if I had to bring anything etc so I had spoken to her twice just to save myself the journey and I was left wasting the journey.
I had come in during the time she was on her break and dealt with a fellow admin worker who was very strange, rude and just seemed like he didn’t care. He did want to hear what I had to say and in fact made me feel like I was wasting his time.
This is terrible terrible service and his name was Don, I’ve worked in his position before and don’t recall a time where I ever treated a client in someway. Anyway as I had wasted my time coming down and was treated with such service. I’d like to thank Don for the way he presented himself as this made realise that I shouldn’t give this firm any of my time or money. Whether that’s £5 or £1000. So I’ll take myself to another law firm, one that I probably should have went to in the first place.
Note, if your a client that needs the right support for whatever your situation is, please find the right firm, don’t waste your time with a firm that is greedy, rude, and poor with communication. You must make sure that you’re dealing with a trusted solicitor that has your best interest at heart.
