I had a fantastic experience with Nicola from Douglas Scott when looking for a new job. I had an initial phone call with Nicola where we went through in lots of detail what sort of role I was looking for. It was very soon after this that Nicola presented me with a job opportunity. After this I had another interview in a firm more suited for my requirements and I was thankfully offered this job. Nicola kept up regular friendly communication throughout the time from the initial phone call to when I was offered the job, which was very reassuring. It was very nice to feel that Nicola was invested in finding me a job. She was constantly looking for positions which were suited to my requirements - which again is a massive positive as I was just being presented with jobs that I could see myself working at. I could not recommend Nicola and Douglas Scott more if you are looking for a new job in the legal sector.

I cannot sing Steph’s praises enough, she has been one of the best recruiters I have worked with, she showed genuine enthusiasm and interest in the type of work and jobs I wanted to apply for. I have been with many recruiters who were pushy, but Steph never once pushed me into a role that was not fitted for me. She listened to all of my requirements and provided legitimate and helpful advice. I am so happy with the help I received from Steph. Finding a new job is a stressful time! I dealt with Isla at Douglas Scott and she was brilliant from the off. Very pleasant, professional and responsive. Mixed thoughts on using Douglas Scott. Inexperienced service from a more junior consultant caused unnecessary difficulties during a recruitment process. A senior consultant picked up, they handled the recruitment appropriately, but by then the damage was done. The recruitment did not take place.
I would use Douglas Scott again, but would choose the consultant carefully, as they do make a difference, both good and bad.
