Do not use unless you're satisfied with a simple probate taking 2 and a half years, it took them 8 months to complete a house sale with a cash buyer. They charge for every update but tell you nothing, weve had companies sending letters to family members as they are unable to get any response from Denbys. The final bill was signed off six weeks ago yet we've heard absolutely nothing and they still have it.

I've never known a solicitor take so long for a simple straightforward probate, years.... They update you with nothing, I'm pretty sure they would do nothing if you let them get away with it, but if you do chase them, be prepared to be charged for it. Months to get a valuation as the first person refused to do it as she was scared of a van parked outside, yet another wasn't arranged until weeks and weeks later when we asked what was going on, and were again charged for an update. Months for a cash sale to go through, then a couple of Months to pay bills, now they're final bill was signed off in July so god only knows what the hold up is now, obviously can't ask unless we want to cause a new bill update...

Extremely unhelpful receptionist who informed my “we don’t deal with that” and when I asked if they knew any others solicitors who could help me is was told “no I don’t”. I could not believe how rude and unhelpful she was. I’m not surprised your previous reviews are so poor given what I’ve experienced today. Good luck to you as a business, you’ll need it with staff like that.

what a terrible mistake I have dealt with Denbys in Ulverston for over 30 years but will not in the future

I used my club card points from tesco to triple up and it makes it very affordable. Not my first choice as it is expensive but I got some very nice kitchen wear, good quality .

Mistakes made by the conveyancing solicitors involved in our house purchase, causing us significant issues and years of stress. Now we are trying to sell the house we have discovered another mistake causing delays in this process and Denby's are completely failing to rectify this in a timely manner. They failed to meet a deadline which they set themselves to rectify the issue. I would not recommend them at all.
