The service we received was fantastic. Our solicitor was called Honor and she was always able to answer my questions and pick up the phone when I rang. Whenever the process slowed down she was always able to tell me exactly what we were waiting for so we were always in the loop.
Good solicitors are hard to find but she certainly is one of the best.

Shahnaz at Davisons Law asked to me leave a review on completion so I will start by saying she was very friendly, professional, and when asked to chase, did so. On completion week she was fab and pushed everything through. Communication started off very well… However this changed very quickly, after 5 long months of emails, chasing for updates, being told an end of week update would be given, which never came. This then resorted in a phone call to my solicitor Lindsay… when asked about x,y,z on my file, she had no idea what I was on about regarding one of the outstanding enquiries on my file, and then proceeded to tell me, my case was “not a priority this week” I don’t know many companies that would tell there paying customers. They are not a priority… I then, with the help from my mortgage broker sent an email to Davisons Law director… lo and behold, I completed the following week. My advice would be, if you like to chase constantly and like a solicior that fills you with little to no confidence. Go for these guys! And if you’re already with them, send the director an email within the first couple of months. You may not have to wait as long to complete ☺️

Conveyancing started well with quick responses via email. I believe them to be competent also. However communication with customers can be greatly improved. it was impossible to get our conveyancer (Maria B.)  on the phone. it would always ring out and go to voicemail and as first time buyers with many (probably silly) questions, it did create a feeling of unease around certain areas of the process. They were recommended by our estate agent and fees were at the very top end of estimations provided by both our estate agent and friends around the country who have bought properties recently. The online portal which you pay for to easily track the progress never gets updated. I could go on but this should paint a reasonable picture of our experience. Glad it is over.
