Needed a sewage trap (Stonehouse trap?) cleaned out and contacted CSG. From the initial contact they were super helpful and made sure they knew where the house was to get the right size tanker. Driver was really helpful and efficient got the job done and drains flowing again.

We booked CSG to empty our septic tank in July 2022, whilst in tandem, booking their engineer to come out at the same time, to assess some issues we were having with the tank / soak away. We specifically requested that the engineer be onsite prior to the tank being emptied and directly after / post empty, so he could assess both the full tank / soak away inspection hatch and the empty tank. CSG assured us that would be fine. We were informed the tank would cost £186 to empty and the engineer visit would be £320 + VAT, to which we agreed. Imagine our surprise when CSG sent the septic tank crew at 1pm to empty the tank (who entered our premises without knocking or telling us they were onsite), and secondly, sent the engineer out at 6.30pm on the same day (Friday evening). When the engineer eventually arrived, he explained there was very little he could advise on having not had sight of the full tank - therefore completely unable to assess the soakaway issues. Having been on site less than 15 minutes he left, informing us we should lodge a complaint with CSG, as his £320 + VAT visit had been pointless. We raised a dispute with CSG immediately, whose response was to invoice us £186 septic tank charge, a £250 same day call out charge (that was never communicated or agreed), and a £320 + VAT engineer charge, for a service that was never provided.
We communicated several times with CSG about the unsatisfactory service received, and said we would agree to pay the £186 charge and £250 same day charge, even though this was never agreed, but refused to pay the engineer charge when the service and engineer report, had never been received. CSG refused to see our point of view, and instructed a very poorly advised Nikki Davis, Credit Manager to follow matters up with us. An engineer report was sent weeks later and CSG did eventually admit liability and reduce the engineer bill by £184, but when we instructed them we had no intention to pay the rest, they issued Country Court Proceedings to the small claims court for the remaining £200. We will never use this business again and advise others to consider alternatives. We found them wholly unprofessional, dishonest with terrible customer service, engaging aggressive tactics to chase customers for funds for services never received.
