Zero stars portal is useless staff cant access info previously sent multiple times been trying to cash in my pension for 3 years emailed ceo multiple times no response avoid at all costs if your pension is with this company move it now! 1 phonecall with Scottish widows released it immediately- again 3 years! Back office is terrible delaying tactics constantly can’t speak to a supervisor nobody calls you back - tragic

Echoing others. Wish there was a 0 star option. No way of communicating with them via email form... which you receive an update saying "you'll receive a reply within 5-10 working days". Well, it's now been more than 40 days (and multiple attempts since)...

I’m still trying to get my money back from them! They under delivered my investment and still wont give me my own money despite making a complaint! I’m planning on instructing a solicitor to take them to court next week! Wouldn’t go anywhere near them if I were you!!

Absolutely diabolical, not even worth 1 star. Husband has been trying to move pension from this company for close on 4 months now, constant delays and even when they do finally respond they don’t supply the information requested. No response to complaints either.

Appalling company to deal with.
The policies concerned became their responsibility after the original company was absorbed into their organisation.
In December I decided to cash-in and now, half way through August I am still waiting for a payout.
The intervening time has been a constant battle. They are uncontactable by phone (on one occasion I called 4 times and each wait involved listening to repeats of the same ‘please choose one of the following numbers to talk to x/y/z’). Emails from me and short, sharp contacts from my financial advisor just result in more requests for verification, ID or up-to-date documents that are demanded again months later because they are, by then, no longer current.
A shocking, insensitive and disgusting way to treat a bereaved person.

Zero stars would sum up more accurately my experience in dealing with these cowboys. After waiting 15 minutes for someone to answer the phone I was greeted rudely by a person who didn't have any interest in dealing with me. When I explained that because I live overseas and happen to be in the town where their office is that I would like if possible to meet face to face with someone there to help answer some questions about my pension. Her response "It doesn't work like that". Every question I put to her was met with a blocking response so nothing got dealt with. I was told I could have someone call me back within 48 hours but no specific time could be guaranteed. Worst service I've come across so I will be moving my pension elsewhere at the first opportunity. When I actually said that I was greeted with a grunt as if to say "who cares".

Avoid at all costs. My partner has various pensions with this company. Her initial request to cash her policies in started 4 months ago. After so many phone calls to these people its just one excuse after another. Their favourite line is they havent recieved a specific peice of paperwork. I am not as incompetent as they are and have sent all correct documentation on numerous occasions. Its only after their generic ' The money will be in your account in10 days ' lie that we then ring them back after the 10 days wondering why the money hasnt gone into her bank as promised. Only to be told the same lie again and again. We have now reffered this to the ombudsman as we have lost all faith in this cowboy outfit. I am also of the opinion that this company clearly wants to keep peoples money at all cost by lying and trying to cause confusion in order to avoid paying out. Whether that is against the law i am unsure but its technically theft. Shame on you countrywide for operating in such an underhand and deceptive manner.

Since march 2024, my grand parents have been trying to get £5000 plus back from the company which was from there pension. We have rang since March and they keep telling us they will ring us back! And never do!! We ask to speak to managers, there’s never any available! We have asked multiple times where our money is and no one can give us an answer.
We even received a letter with another person details on and how much they have received from there pension!!!!! We are now taking this to the ombudsman as we have been getting no where. Stay clear of this company they are DIGUSTING!!!
