Completely dodgy and dishonest. They will make up things to give themselves work. And the work they do actually do, is slap dash and cowboy like. There's a reason the garage down the road has a much longer waiting list.

I took my car in as I was having problems with the window screen washer, I was that I needed a new pump and this would take a couple of days to get. I need my car the following morning to attend a hospital appointment, on driving to the hospital the next day and due to the bad weather I pulled the washer lever and the washers where now working, I contacted the garage to explain what had happened and would I still need the new pump to be fitted, their response was that I would have to pay for the pump! As it was ordered in special for my car (Ford ) I went to pay the bill only to Told it was £108! What a rip off for an hour's work as they were able to return the pump, after using this garage for nearly thirty years with several cars I won't be returning there again!

Previously I would've given this place 5 stars. After how I was treated the last time I went there, it's now a 1.
My car wasn't starting so I rang to see if anyone would be able to help me, they replied they would be an hour or so but would ring and come over. 4 hours later and still no phone call, so I call to see what was going on.
I get told 'someone called and said they got the car started so not to bother coming' er....why would I say that ? That never happened. So they promised to come out in the morning.
They did but when they got there, they admitted to me they just 'completely forgot' about me the previous day, so the phone call was a fabrication and lie to my face ? To what? Try and gaslight me into thinking I rang them when I didn't ?
Any way they get the car off and keep me informed.
They tell me the next day it's starting and I can come collect it. I'm not well so I sleep and miss a call, I call them back and they say it's not starting again. I was confused and drowsy so I say 'wait, I thought it was working?' the guy on the phone quickly gets very rude and impatient with me.
When it does come to collect, I have a problem: I had 2 big unexpected bills come out and I can't pay them yet. I try to explain that if I don't have my car, how can I pay them? As I need to get to work to make money. No compassion, no remorse and they keep my car from me. I understand they have a right to, but I'm a regular customer, I'm local, I've paid in full on time every time and none of this mattered. They did not care how much this impacted me.
They finally let me have it back after borrowing £100 to pay them some of the bill, after talking about how 'reasonable' they are of course. Reasonable would not be keeping someone's car from them when they are clearly in a desperate and awful situation.
Now I've paid the remainder I can safely say I am NEVER going back and you'll never see another penny from me.

Emailed in for a quote on quite a few bits for my car, after taking a look myself. Got a call back asking for me to drop the car off for a quick check before they accept the job - no worries. Picked up the car and they confirmed what I told them, and was charged £42 for the privilege.

Quote came back, totalled about £730. Called around and found 3 different mobile mechanics quoting around £400-500 and 3 local garages varying between £550 and £650.

Went with a mobile mechanic who did his own ‘free’ pre-inspection, who actually realised one of my tracking rod ends was fine despite C&D saying it wasn’t. It was actually the upper arm which needed replacing. Cole and Day didn’t spot this.

Still, mobile mechanic agreed on £450 (invoiced). He did a great job, no issues since.

Cole and Day would have ended up costing me circa £770 including the pre-inspection. Plus, I’d still have a dodgy upper tracking arm and would have wasted another £40 getting my wheels aligned afterwards, just to find the same issue come back. I understand garages may quote slightly higher than mobile mechanics but this seems a lot.

Friendly team though and good availability so if a job needs doing quickly and you’re not too worried about price, go for it. If you can wait, shop around & consider a mobile mechanic.

Had a puncture & couldn't get to the garage, so I called them first thing. Explained that car was needed for work & had tried to inflate at home without success. Callum arrived 20 minutes later, inspected the tyre & took it away for repair. Thirty minutes later, he returned to fit. Excellent service to get me on my way. This was the second time in two days that they have repaired punctures, although I was able to get to the garage & drive straight in for the previous one. What a fantastic service.

Very fast and professional, One of the fellas even drove too me to pump my flattie up escorted me to the garage and fixed within 30 mins despite seeming busy! Couldn’t of been more pleased! Would highly recommend!!

Car was due a full service so we decided to try this place. To say we was left immensely disappointed is the understatement of the year. The car was due for a full service,when we got the car home it had no coolant!! A new exhaust system was fitted. The car now sounds like a 1950's tractor. They changed a brand new themostat that I had put on the car... for another brand new themostat, and they didn't know where the heater matrix was on the car which I find baffling.
Will not be going back I'm sorry too say.
