I cannot recommend Wendy and her team more highly. We purchased a property just before the pandemic hit which then had to be sold quickly and another property purchased due to a family bereavement. The service we received was second to none, Wendy made a very stressful situation run as smoothly as these things can. Her communication was spot on, on both a professional and personal level and I wouldn’t chose anyone else if we purchase or sell again. In fact we purchased a property in Cumbria and used them again for this despite not being local. Would give more than 5 stars if we could!!

These guys are amazing! I wish we had used them on our last house sale. We bought our house during the pandemic (right at the beginning actually) and if it wasn’t for Wendy and the team I don’t think we would have ever moved into our forever home, and would have settled for something far less. I will never forget our 90MINUTE phonecall where Wendy calmed my nerves about the sale and said by hook or by crook she would see this through for us! Even after the sale, she worked tirelessly to sort out some overhanging driveway issues which have now all be resolved.

Absolutely shocking way for a solicitor to behave. My daughter has been trying to complete the purchase of her first flat, in Newport, for months. Sadly the vendor is using Wendy at Colborne's, and she's done absolutely nothing. Our conveyancing solicitor has been chasing her for information, I have chased her, my daughter has chased her and the vendor has chased her. She refuses to respond to any emails, won't take calls and won't return any calls.

We're all waiting for Wendy to complete the purchase and it should have gone through months ago. We've not had so much as a "sorry I'm really busy" or a reason why she's been so unresponsive.

I've purchased many properties over the years, including commercial, and Wendy has been, without question, the worst cog in a property chain I have ever endured.

Was advised by Baratt homes to use Wendy at Colborne, Coulman & Lawrence Solicitors, Newport to purchase a new property in Cwmbran.
After initially chatting to Wendy on the phone she seemed lovely until we paid the 1st payment for the searches to be carried out on the plot.
After this her attitude changed as me and my partner had a number of issues in the contract of purchase from Barratt's.
Wouldn't answer my calls neither offer a phone appointment after countless emails requesting a time slot.
BEWARE from my experience that a solicitor advised to be used by any property developer may be more interested in the values of the property developer than the paying client!!!
We still are chasing our deposit from Wendy A James 3 months on!!!

Very unprofessional service from Wendy. Standard of service unacceptable. Took 13 days to receive money from the sale of a house, failed to initiate the first registration of a property as instructed. Almost impossible to make contact with. Save yourself sleepless nights and choose another solicitor.
