Completely ineffectual. Had an issue with Hunt ADR, an arbitrator, who are accredited by the Civil Mediation Council. The CMC were not interested and would only look into it if I considered it to be "serious professional misconduct". In our case I felt it was an error of judgement which cost us a lot of money but I didn't feel it went as far as serious professional misconduct so there's nowhere to go. In my opinion the CMC are useless and they're only interested in the revenue they receive from being accredited by them. There's no proper member complaint review and they didn't want to know about my issue at all unless it was serious professional misconduct. A proper regulatory body would look into my case and would discuss it with their member.
