DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR OVERSEAS POLICE CHECKS. Absolutely terrible. You will not receive a document from the relevant Ministry of Justice or anything of the like; all you will receive is an email from Jackie Thompson which in the body of the email will contain a meaningless list of details claiming that a search has been carried out. To add, these details are poorly worded and formatted. This is not a valid Police Check and it is completely incomprehensible how anyone could ever deem this to be so. This will not be accepted by any reputable organisation or institution. Please do not waste your time nor money.

Worst company to deal with. I booked a criminal check request with them and received no confirmation (only payment receipt from third party). I emailed them and chased them couple of times as I was worried that whether they received my request or what is order number or how they will deliver my results. Jackie from Civil and Corporate replied (email tone was rude) saying it was mentioned on our website it take 15 days and be patient. I said I was just asking whether received request and what is my reference number.

Guess what he replied in a arrogant tone saying here is your refund and never use our service again. I mean just asked for reference or order number. Please avoid this rude company at all cost.

In hindsight I ought to have read the dozens of damning reviews which reflect my opinion now 🤦‍♀️ Initially all seemed fine but as soon as we dared ask a question things went downhill fast.
We had a couple of small queries but managed to find our way around them as there was no support. Recently an applicant had an issue and Civil and Corporate (C&C) told us to phone DBS. DBS said C&C, as the registered body, needed to action the solution so we went back to be told "Unfortunately we are not prepared to waste any more valuable time on this issue". I asked them to close the account and provided bank details to return funds remaining on our account. Below is the shocking response!
N.B. I have no clue why she couldn't find our T&C's or why they were relevant to her nor why she thinks we charge nannies! 🥴

Please do not use this company my wife has had threatening emails going to take civil action against her. There was a mistake on the payment of £55. And now the director Jackie Thompson has sent her another email saying she’s going to the police. This company is a joke she’s even threatening me now for defending my wife with an email I sent her. Please let’s put this company out of business!!!!!!

Very bad!!! No customer service and no explanation!!! They ask money for update your dbs that is valid for 3 years!!! Ridiculous!! Very bad experience! I suggested to no do the dbs with them!
