I have been trying to get help from CAB for 16 years about the same problem, Aviva Home Insurance. Spent hours o
the phone listening to irritating music. Just discovered from FCA that my case should have been referred to Trading Standards by the CAB. Tried calling them again this morning to ask them to do this, after waiting 55 minutes for a response they finally found my case, then I got cut off but their review service asked me for an opinion but they didn't phone me back. Just spoken to a CAB adviser who told me that Trading Standards do nothing anyway. Why is the government doing nothing to protect consumers?

It's ok if you have simple issues, but complicated like ours is couldn't really be done. Every question came back with really no going forward, I wasn't expecting a great deal but did feel like it was a bit of a waste of time. Keith the advisor did try to keep the session going but before the end there was nothing left, no gold at the end of our rainbow

We have been to Gainsborough CAB a few times for a variety of reasons. Every time we have walked in and waiting less than 10 minutes to see someone. They have a wealth of knowledge on each subject. If they are 100% sure, they all go out of their way to make sure you have all the facts and information before you leave!
