Citizens Advice is ok, but their information is behind the times (avoid their 'leaflet' information) and quite often run by volunteers. I know from first-hand experience in terms of 'employment law', that the information provided by my local Citizens Advice is very inaccurate or dated. Personally, even though I could not afford to hire a solicitor or lawyer, I found that researching this subject matter through an online search website, much more accurate and you can find out your rights are and how to go about what action needs to be taken.

Building is listed so finding the entrance can seem confusing as can the inside layout once inside. And although there is a lift, the hallway and rooms are far from idea so l would hesitate to describe either the building itself as ideal for visible or invisible disability nor the the volunteer staff being disability aware.
Note; at peak times it can be really busy and so feel extra cramped + In being reliant on hard-pressed volunteers, the service level can vary ~ as can the waiting times.

My 1st visit was very disappointing, the staff member had no clue! 2nd visit, the door was locked and i couldn't get in! 3rd visit better, I have 1+hr wait, someone who arrived after me was seen first, but the staff were helpful. All my subsequent visits have been very helpful, the key seems to be to get one of the professional advisors. So I've upgraded my review to 4 star from 2 star.
