Where do I start… thank you so much! Annemarie and Ceri were absolutely fantastic throughout our house purchase. They were always just a phone call away, no matter how small the issue, nothing was ever too much trouble.

They were incredibly thorough and made sure we were protected 100% at every stage. We always felt like we were in safe hands. They kept us updated throughout, which really helped ease the stress of what turned out to be a slow-moving purchase.

Despite the delays, they handled everything calmly and professionally… including some overly persistent estate agents! We’re so grateful for all their hard work, and the service was all at a very fair and competitive price.

A week later I telephoned and spoke with an lady at the office. Explained I would be in Liverpool on specific dates in order to schedule a meeting. Again promises received to arrange an appointment. Again, no follow up communications received.
Seeking alternative provider as this does note bode well.

I instructed this firm to act on my behalf to handle a property purchase early 2023. I always previously dealt with Carla who was very efficient and professional however she left halfway through the process and nobody from the firm notified us. When it was clear that time had passed with little communication I contacted them and was informed of Carla’s departure and it was evident that the temporary staff they had, were not up to speed with my purchase.

So much so that I had to file a complaint about the conduct of the person appointed to deal with my file due to his unprofessional email communications, constant mistakes with paperwork and not advising of the process to transfer the deposit funds - this resulted in CH having to pay my mortgage company my deposit and I had to reimburse the firm.

This complaint was never resolved and Catherine Higgins herself, failed to follow her own complaints process.

A month after the property purchase had completed I was contacted by a different member of staff from CH advising that I had to send them £300 to pay for a document which was a condition of my mortgage. I challenged why this had only now come to light and why it had t been picked up BEFORE the transaction had completed. I didn’t get any further response and a month later I was contacted again for the same thing.

I contacted Catherine Higgins directly to request a full review of this transaction as I had lost all trust in the firm. She replied on the 30th October stating that she would be conducting a full review of the file.

By January I still hadn’t had a response from her or the firm. I emailed on the 6th Jan for an update on the review and the legal document that they stated was a condition of my mortgage (we are now 5 months post completion).

I did not get a reply so I sent a follow up email on the 16th January. Again, no reply.

I then received a letter requesting signature for this missing document and that they would be paying for it (I didn’t request this).

I still am yet to receive a response to my complaint or a resolution to the review of my file and as I have no faith that this transaction has been completed properly I have raised a complaint with the SRA and Legal Ombudsman.
