Mr Devile and his team are amazing. They have helped again in selling and buying our home. Mr Devile's knowledge and experience is truly worth every penny. Area of law reviewed: Conveyancing/property

The service that I received from this firm was diabolical. For example I rang to speak to Mr Devile, he was not available, I left a message. I rang again because he did not return my call only to be told to leave my contact details again, even though the receptionist acknowledged that she has spoken to me earlier in the day - what did they do? Throw my contact details in the bin? This scenario occured on a number of occasions.

The service was slow (non existent), even to the point where the other parties solicitor was complaining.

They do not respond to phone calls, email, or to letters.

They have not not removed a charge that was against the property that acted for me on, even though I have chased them several times (with no response on each occasion).

Basically, this firm was (and still is) the cause of my stress and I paid them for that pleasure!

They still (after 5 months and several chasers) have not removed the charge that I paid to remove and do not have the courtesy to acknowledge or respond to a formal complaint letter.

My mum has used these Solictor’s for a very long time .. it came to my turn to choose Solictor’s for my new home ... well what Can I say the most professional and friendly people. Especially Emma, Mrs Chaggar and the receptionist .... kept me updated and I exchanged and completed within 6 weeks .... very impressed and did not adjust the bill once and give me extra charges. How these solicitors are allowed to practise is baffling. The solicitor by the name of Rehana is staggeringly poor at her job. These people are nothing short of useless who seem to think that their £275 an hour price tag is acceptable!!!!

My dad died 3 years ago and at the request of my mum i required a certified copy of the will. After chasing their office for 2 weeks without the common courtesy of a return call i was told to call their Buckhurst Hill office. I spent the next 3 weeks going through the same. Unprofessional and a lack of respect to a family that spent money with them many years ago in drafting up the original Will.
