At CAMP, I learnt that the mediator does not decide what is fair/right or gives an opinion on the merits but acts as a catalyst between opposing interests and guide them to reach a solution. Though simple it may sound, it is really challenging to implement and I realised that when I started applying this learning to all kinds of legal work in my domain including contract negotiation, labour dispute, employee-employer issues and pre-litigation discussions; but was happy to see how it worked in effectively reaching a solution. What CAMP taught was not only this "art" but also the attributes required to sustain it - perseverance, patience and practice. Wonderful experience at CAMP!

I recently went through the basic negotiations workshop. At first I thought it maybe useful for an executive from a legal/contracting background. But at the end of it, I loved it being an entrepreneur/businessman myself. We went through some excellent case studies from Stanford university and it was very useful.
