Unfortunately, one star is the lowest review I can select, as it is not possible to select zero stars. This is actually my second review against this company; my first being on Trustpilot. Boys and Maughan even had the audacity to reply to my review saying I wasn’t even a client. If you notice from some of the other reviews on Google, that seems to be their party line for anybody leaving a bad review. I have both evidence in email and in fee bills, proving I am a client. My family has been working with Boys and Maughan for nearly 80 years. I myself have fortunately only had dealings with them in the last two years, but even this was enough to show their incompetence, arrogance and complete lack of understanding and knowledge. I feel it is my duty to inform others how poor this company actually is and how much stress this company causes through their delays, arrogance and incompetence. I have emails of their solicitors asking me for information that they already hold themselves and deadlines they themselves set which they do not meet. Their fees do not justify their service by any means.

Richard Robinson was appointed to help sell my flat. I knew starting that it wasn’t going to be a simple process as a similar flat in the same development had been going through the sale process starting around 9 months earlier and had not completed.

Richard was very good a giving me regular updates, replying to emails and calls and explaining what the technical terms meant. We did run into significant road blocks along a way around a unresponsive management company where both myself and Richard chased up managing to get the required information where the other mentioned flat was not able to.

This would’ve been a 5 star review however after exchange and the day before completion Richard informed me that the help to buy equity loan side had been overlooked and not completed. I was able to get a valuation carried out the next day and Richard chased help to buy customer service as was able to complete just a day late. Richard was very apologetic and reduce my legals fees by a fair amount in compensation unprompted.

Nothing is to much trouble and they always get back to you, even after working hours.
