A very disappointing service from the Probate department - not sure if it was a case of too many clients or a culture within the company - it felt like our file would come to the top every couple of weeks, one task would be done (or just considered) and back to the bottom of the pile it went. Only when a formal complaint was submitted did any concerted action happen. This laidback approach wouldn't work in any other profession. The management needs to look at how Probate applications are processed, with weekly checks and updates for all clients.

I was recently sent a Notice from another Solicitors, concerning my fathers Lasting power of Attorney. I wanted to get some clarification and advice on the implications of the notice and reached out to Blanchards Bailey to help. Jerome Dodge was excellent and explained what the Notice meant and offered some options on how to proceed. Jerome was very sympathetic at what was an emotional time for all involved. Excellent service and would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Horrible customer service. When I walked in I was seen as a walking pay check for the partner of family law. Unhelpful would not use this firm for anything! Wasted around £1000 just talking to people in there and didn’t get anywhere with my situation. Mark and avoid at all costs. Terrible experience.

- Informed, Understandable, Calm, Clear headed, Honest -
The title says it all. Mr. Jerome Dodge is a master of his subject, he clearly and intelligibly revealed enough and no more of the pros and cons of Trusts to allow us to make an informed, clear headed decision. All over a cup of tea in a comfortable meeting room.
I recommend Blanchards Bailey of Blandford Forum unreservedly.

Paul and his team at Blanchards Bailey LLP have been invaluable to us on multiple and diverse matters. From personal to business cases like buying our house, drawing our wills, purchase of land, financial facility agreements, business contracts and debt recovery, we have felt supported, listened to and educated where we did not understand. They have a friendly approach, competitive rates and have gone above and beyond for all matters they have been involved with. We can highly recommend them and will continue to do business with them moving forward.

Recently used to sell a property and for another legal enquiry, both dealt with very well and without any problems, would recommend

Never have I spent so much money and received so little in return.
This isn’t one of those poor reviews because the outcome wasn’t what I wanted. No, that was all agreed prior to even contacting this firm.

Blanchards were Slow, non-communicative, misleading and have made what was an easy and amicable situation way more stressful and drawn out. They’ve managed to add £££ of unnecessary communications - even using part of an email that I was paying for, to ask me to reconsider my review. My ex and myself have been dumbfounded at their ineptitude. Her solicitors, Dibbens, have been very good throughout. How do I know? I’ve seen their emails all the way along, including those apologising for Blanchards failure to reply to simple requests.

Also, As a result of Blanchards poor service and negligence, which they have tried to palm off onto the courts, I lost half a days work and repeat business from that work. My ex-wife’s solicitor, however, managed to assist her until the end of the process - understanding that they have a duty of care in such matters. Not Blanchards.
If you are divorcing, do NOT use this company. I can’t imagine how horrible the process would have been if my ex-wife and I didn’t get along.

Matt Collis and the team at Blanchards Bailey have delivered a consistently professional, timely and friendly service through several house purchases and sales for us. I have always been amazed at the responsiveness Matt has shown in answering emails immediately and providing clear explanations of tricky areas of conveyancing. I have already recommended Matt to a friend of mine and she has also been delighted by the service he's provided.
