Started to use Aspinall & Co for a house sale, the buyer showed concerned over the choice of solicitor so the with 48hrs of instruction them I formally told Aspinall & Co I was going to have to work with someone else.

For taking my initial phone call, sending me an email confirming I was working with them, and ordering land reg docs (£9) they charged me £99.00, the total quote for the sale was £400.00, I did not even sign anything.

Though I accepted I would pay this, the fact they never at any point gave me bank details on any docs including the invoice and letter advising I was late paying made this hard so had to go chasing myself for these details...

In summary, I would not recommend, the fee may be fair, you can judge, but the lack of care shown by not giving me info to pay does not give me confident the are a competent firm.

Have used aspinalls for years, not had need to use them for several years. Was suprised to learn he had retired, and russel and russel had taken over someparts of the bussiness. Had to call in recently russel and russel porvide the same proffessional service as aspinalls, and were very polite and helpful
