Were a bit slow at first and at times difficult to get hold of but it was a complex case and were able to deal with it and advise. I think the 5 star is warranted and would recommend. Also a very reasonable price and many firms would not take me on due to the complexity of my first home purchase. Word to first time buyers: do not invest your savings and keep them consistent. Keep your savings in your own account. It will save you headaches and time.

I sold my house with Askews, honestly it was an incredibly slow and drawn out process where I felt I had to continually chase people. I called a few times in the beginning and asked for support as It was the first home I’d sold however the few times I spoke with a P.A I was told ‘ you should know that information’ and was offered no additional support or ways of me even finding the information out. I wasn’t in a chain and the whole process took around 6 months, I appreciate the buyer’s solicitor dragged their heels a bit but i do believe it was slow communication all round. The communication between client and Askews is only via email - I called countless times and requested call backs to no avail - hopefully Askews will not try and discredit this review by suggesting we are in a new world where most things are done via email, because sometimes you just need to speak to another human on the end of the phone. Hopefully they make some changes moving forward.

We used Askews for conveyance services for the purchase and sale.

Communication was poor, didn’t answer calls or respond to emails. There was a dedicated app which was meant to convey progress, but was not updated following the initial setup.

Emails went “missing” and the duration of the whole process was ridiculous. We lost week after week where I was repeatedly told something would happen and it never did. I was reliant on my buyers and sellers solicitors for updates.

Would not recommend.

I have used Askews for two recent attempted property purchases. Whilst both did not complete for different reasons, the team at Askews have been incredible with their diligence and dedication that have prevented me from making sub-optimal decisions by revealing significant problems with both properties that could have been expensive mistakes. They truly do put there clients first and act in your best interest. Parvinder was an exceptional solicitor and I could not recommend her enough. Lauren the conveyancing executive was extremely responsive, thorough and helpful at all stages she was involved. In my first purchase attempt the trainee solicitor Dean was outstanding and we greatly appreciated having him on our side.

Overall whilst the outcomes were not ideal it said a lot about the company and their people that I do not look back at this experience negatively and would definitely use them in the future when I find the right property.
